Sarnath is 30 mins away from Varanasi. It is one of the main sacred sites in all of Buddhism. Here you’ll find a great audio tour! 10/10 recommended

The most sacred river in all of India. People come here for all types of daily activities such as swimming and bathing. It is along the main ghats and sunrise are absolutely gorgeous here!



Assi Ghat Varanasi

Follow the Ganges to the Asi River Tank, which is basically the southernmost river Tank in Varanasi. You can watch the sunrise and sunset of the Ganges River here. The famous Ganges Night Festival is also nearby at night, and it is wonderful to not miss. The river is as dirty as ever, but this is also the characteristic of the Ganges. There are many pilgrims bathing here, and you can also take a boat to see the scenery on the shore and the sunrise and sunset.



Peaceful, holy place. entrance fee for foreigner: 300rupe cash. Or there is Indian man who helps to buy online ticket for entrance 250 ruppee. Business Hours: from sunrise to sunset

Manikarnika Ghat - Manikarnika Mahashamshan Ghat

Manikanica River altar, when you arrive at Varanasi, you may come to see this altar, which is actually the burnt temple. Just next to the Ganges River, it is smoky every day, and the smell is relatively large. Just take a look. Although I don't understand these, I still feel more respectful. The Ganges River can also be seen by boat, and there is also this tourism project. There are more liars on the shore, lobbying you for various paid visits, pay attention to not be fooled.



The temple seems bit gloomy and scary to me. Perhaps due to we visit almost sunset hours and there weren't much people including their workers. All i see myself and their so called god.
