What People Are Saying About Florence

Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower

TALAL MOHAMMAD HUSSEINY
It was a pleasant experience where you get to see multiple attractions in Florence. The architecture was so special and unique. The opera museum was the best to my surprise. The only con is that there is not much to see in Saint Mary's cathedral.

Uffizi Gallery

The collections of the Uffizi Gallery are so attractive. With the wonderful explanation of the tour guide Coco, the four of us have a better understanding of the collections of the gallery. It is worth mentioning that Coco has strong professional knowledge. If you don't ask the tour guide to explain these famous paintings, you really won't understand them well.

Gallery of the Academy of Florence

Discover world-famous paintings, sculptures, and tapestries with this timed entry ticket to the Accademia Gallery in Florence. See iconic pieces by Michelangelo like 'the Prisoners', 'St. Matthew' and the statue of David. View works by other famous masters like Bartolini. Admire the 5.17-meter marble statue representing the Biblical hero David, a favored subject in Florentine art. The statue soon came to symbolize the defence of civil liberties embodied in the Republic of Florence

Pitti Palace

Pitti Palace is very worth a visit. I went to the Bobori Garden. Bobori Garden is average. But the Biyan Palace collection is rich and should be on the must-see list.

Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence

The Holy Cross is also a typical Florence church, with white as the background color and green facade as a color pattern. The square should be the largest in the city church, so it is very correct.

Palazzo Vecchio

Palazzo Vecchio (Italian for "Old Palace") is the town hall of Florence, Italy. Overlooking Piazza della Signoria, it is the historic centre of Florence and the main site of the origins and history of the Florentine Republic, still maintaining its reputation as the political focal point of the city.

Ponte Vecchio

The Ponte Vecchio in Florence is a famous landmark in Italy. This bridge spans the narrowest point of the Arno River and is believed to have been first built in Roman times. The bridge in Roman times was made of wood. After being destroyed by a flood in 1117, the bridge was rebuilt in stone.

David of Michelangelo

avatar

David is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculptures, made in marble by Italian artist Michelangelo between 1501 and 1504. The statue of David, a meter tall marble, was placed in a public square outside the Old Palace, the seat of Florence City, and was unveiled on September 8, 1504. The statue was moved to the Art Gallery of the Faculty of Florence in 1873 and was later replaced by a replica in its original location. There is also a bronze replica in the square of Michelangelo.

Basilica di San Lorenzo

The Lorenzo Chapel is the church of the Medici family and also the family chapel. The church is relatively low-key and calm at the moment, and the surface mechanism is a popular element at that time. The dome is small and exquisite.

Medici Chapel

This cylindrical building and the chapel are also a very interesting area where you can see some great historical buildings. The Medici are also a very famous family in Italy with a lot of heritage.
