Sahara Desert

Formed about 2.5 million years ago, it is the world's largest sandy desert, covering an area of about 9.32 million square kilometers, located in northern Africa. The climate conditions in the region are very harsh, making it one of the least suitable places for life on Earth.

[Merzouga Desert] The Sahara Desert covers more than a dozen countries in northern Africa, so it is the world's largest desert. Merzouga, the gate to the Sahara Desert, is a small desert village in southeastern Morocco. It has the largest natural groundwater in Morocco and is inhabited by the Berbers of Morocco. There are three types of desert tour routes: two days and one night; three days and two nights; four days and three nights. The [two days and one night] tour does not go to the Merzouga Desert because the journey is too far. They all go to Zagora. You can find it on the map. According to online reviews, the experience is very poor. There is no real desert unless you go deep. You can still see it, but the two-day and one-night tour you signed up for will not allow you to go that deep because there is not enough time. There are also horse-in and horse-out or Philippine-in and Philippine-out tours in the two-day and one-night tour, but that basically delays the road and the experience is not good. [Three days and two nights tour] Stay in Ouarzazate on the first night, and you can visit Ben Haddou Village on the way. Arrive at the Merzouga camp in the afternoon of the second day, and ride a camel into the desert about an hour before the sun sets. On the morning of the third day, we left the desert and returned to the camp. We drove to Fez and stopped at the town of Ifrane. The [Four Days and Three Nights] is basically a combination of the first two, with a few adjustments. There are several options for the route: Main Feichu (most tourists who walk counterclockwise choose this) Fechu in Machu (most tourists who walk clockwise choose this) Main Machu and Feichu (guests who only want to play in the desert in a short time choose this) Currently, there are only two open dunes: Erg Chebbi and Erg Chegaga. The three-day and two-night tours are basically the Qibi Dunes, which are closest to the Merzuka camp and the most convenient.

Located on the edge of the desert, you can drive directly to it. The buildings are all mud-colored, and the B&Bs are covered with dust. Generally, people who don't want to stay in desert tents choose to stay in the town. There is no entertainment, no restaurants, and no Internet. But you must pass through the town after traveling to the Sahara Desert.

Whether it is from Marrakech or Fis, the desert regiment is generally three days. Stay in Warzatt one day, live in the small town of Melzuka or go deep into the desert tent one day, you can experience riding a camel, rushing in the sand, watching the sunrise and sunset.
