To know about Zagreb, you need to see this museum
in the city center of Zagreb old town, this museum is close to all view points. lots of exhibitions and a very reasonable ticket price! highly recommend

Not a big museum, if you want to go fast one hour will be enough although I would suggest to spare 2-3 hours. If you want to learn and see the history of Zagreb, this is a great museum.

A very traditional museum giving an in-depth history of Zagreb. I found the later years (Hapsburgs onwards) a bit 'light' (particularly the 1990s) but worthwhile none the less.
