Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. In July 2019, when I visited this museum in Washington DC, I witnessed the sight of piles of shoes. We need to know that each pair of shoes here represents a Jew who was slaughtered by the Nazis. This is the most painful lesson that history has taught mankind. We must remember this painful history - the lives and blood of the persecuted so that the next generation can learn to face each life with humility and respect. We must remember all this!

The US Holocaust Memorial Hall also commemorates the massacre of Jews by the Nazis during World War II, and this memorial hall also contains a lot of things, including the incriminating evidence of the massacre of some Nazis, which is very historically valuable.
We requested to arrive 15 minutes in advance of our visit at the specified time. This gave us time to see the exhibitions for children (Daniel's story). The permanent exhibition was excellent and had a large amount of text messages, photos, videos and artifact references. The crowd was so crowded that we couldn't see some of the exhibits completely. After we finished the exhibition, we watched a film about the rise of Nazism in Germany in the 1930s. In hindsight, we hoped we could see the film beforehand.
Really enjoyed the United States Holocaust Museum. learned a lot and would love to go back and learn more
Awesome documents are presented! While watching the exhibition, thinking about what the hatred under violence is for! Terrible history! Sad war! It's terrible, peace is king! There are many people visiting, but the serious atmosphere overshadows the joy!
A sobering place that no one should miss. There is no place outside Europe that is as sobering as here to recognize the brutality of the Nazi regime. It is heartbreaking to see what they do to people. Absolutely a must see place.
