The second exhibition is entitled “Early Christian City and Residences”. It shows all aspects of economic life, including housing, furniture and decoration, crafts, clothing and food. The third exhibition reflects the characteristics of early Christian burials, focusing mainly on burial architecture and painting. Visitors can view the jewels and pottery unearthed at the tomb. In the next exhibition hall, the monasticism, anti-idolism, Cyril and Medod's futility, and so on. Greece is second only to the Byzantine Museum in Athens. The time span of the exhibition is not as long as Athens, from the Byzantine period to Greece's independence, but because Thessaloniki has long been the first city in northern Macedonia, the regional political, economic, cultural and military center, the status is important, so the collection is quite considerable.
This museum is OK, the collection inside is very rich, very good.
The Byzantine Cultural Museum, located in the city of Saloniga, Greece, this time specially accompanied friends to visit this museum. Byzantine culture is one of the most important cultures in the world. The museum has a lot of historical cultural relics, crafts, and introductions of Byzantine traditional customs. I am fascinated by our friends who love history.
In the museum, the exhibition is the 11th to 16th century religious painting art works and sacred objects, very precious, full of eyes! Unfortunately, no photos are allowed inside. Interested friends can only come and experience it in person.
