What travelers say:

The Byzantine Museum of Culture is located in Thessaloniki. Until 2004, the museum's eleven halls were gradually opened. In 2005, the museum was named the "best museum" by the European Commission. The first exhibition is entitled “Early Christian Churches” and focuses on church architecture and decorations from the first centuries of Christianity. The second exhibition is entitled “Early Christian City and Residences”. It shows all aspects of economic life, including housing, furniture and decoration, crafts, clothing and food. The third exhibition reflects the characteristics of early Christian burials, focusing mainly on burial architecture and painting. Visitors can view the jewels and pottery unearthed at the tomb. In the next exhibition hall, the monasticism, anti-idolism, Cyril and Medod's futility, and so on. The latter two exhibition halls are mainly used to show daily life in a castle in the Byzantine emperor and Byzantine period.
