House of the Blackheads

The name of the Brotherhood is related to their backer, Black• St.• Mauritius, who died about 280-300 AD as an early Christian martyr. His avatar is the symbol of the Brotherhood badge.

The House of the First Brotherhood is an association formed by young foreign businessmen who spent a long time in Estonia and Latvia in 1399, but not a permanent group.
