No tickets. Built by 1100 AD, it is the oldest church preserved in Norway. The church is not very big. You should come here to Stavanger! There is a lake next to it, there are fountains and many swans and other birds!
This is one of the oldest churches in Norway, unfortunately I was just renovated when I went, the church was all closed and not open to the public. The surrounding environment and scenery are very beautiful, it is a good choice to take a walk around to see the scenery.
Don't think it's free, it's not free, it takes 30 kronor, I'm alone when I go in, and a couple come in after a while! Personally feel that the church in Oslo is better and there are people in that church who worship and sing.
With the roof of two green steeples, I walked to the side of Stavanger Cathedral. The tower in the middle of the church is being repaired, and most of the landscape in Europe will be covered with a "canvas" that blends with the surrounding environment, but this is not done here, just a large white cloth from top to bottom, a bit of scenery. The two towers on the left and right were like a base of irregular stones, just smoothing the surface; the whole church had a long depth of field, all made of large stones, and the painting style was more in line with the grandeur of the Nordics. The painted windows did not seem to be very gorgeous. The church was closed when we arrived. Check the introduction on tripadvisor. Tickets were 30NOK. The preaching platform inside was very gorgeous and exquisite. There is a lake in front of the church, swans and lizards playing in the lake.
