Explore the National Museum of Singapore and unlock its unique historical charm
If you come to Singapore and don't visit the National Museum, it's almost as if you lack an understanding of Singapore! Singapore is not just about those beautiful landmarks for photo ops; it also has a distinct history different from China and other countries. If you're just looking for fun, then the museum might not be the place for you, after all, museums around the world are more or less the same, the only difference lies in the stories they hold.
The entrance fee is only 15 Singapore dollars, and it takes just 2 hours to complete a full tour. Moreover, there are many famous spots nearby, such as Praise Square, Fort Canning Park, etc., so it really won't take too much time to stop by.
Many unique events have taken place here, and I'll briefly list a few: First, the city was initially built by convicts from British India; second, after the Japanese army defeated the British, they occupied the area and renamed it Syonan Island; third, the current Changi Airport area was once the infamous Changi Prison; fourth, during the Japanese occupation, prisoners of war were sent to build the 'Death Railway' between Thailand and Myanmar; fifth, since 1901, many wives of European civil servants and businessmen came here to become housewives (more interesting things await your exploration).

The Singapore Museum is a place worth taking children to visit and study. The literature and pictures inside are very exciting and interesting. They introduce many historical and cultural monuments and many development history of Singapore. The hardships of Chinese and overseas Chinese in that year are really a good place for long knowledge.
It is worth taking children to visit the museum. Although it is a full English version of the explanation, English barrier-free can be seen throughout the whole process. Knowing that Singapore's life and past lives are divided into three floors, it is worth slowly savoring...
Absolutely worth the money going here. It was super informational and educational. The grand colonial building itself is a piece of history, and the mix of architectural styles, from the classic facade to the modern glass extension, gives a real sense of Singapore's evolution.
