Not very clean
Maybe we just hit a bad day, but the beach was incredibly dirty. A lot of litter, which really overshadowed what I think is probably a really nice beach. Parking was easy and the facilities were nice....

My cousin had her wedding here and it was absolutely perfect! Gorgeous view of Chicago, especially with the sunsetting in the background. Clean, nice facilities.. Large beach area and nice boardwalk.
Beautiful beach and dunes. Well maintained visitor center, parking can be smallish during busy season. We went there on a rainy March day but we still enjoyed our visit albeit wet.

Great view of Lake Michigan
Despite cloudy skies, we enjoyed the great view of Lake Michigan. Wanted to experience the riverwalk too but it started to rain. Enjoy!
