Huangyeと Zhu Tuりの Bridge
Original Text
50 minutes by Otawara Municipal Bus from Nasushiobara Station. A temple of the Rinzai sect Myoshinji school built during the Daiji era (1126~ 1131). The principal image is Shakamuni Buddha. A warped bridge is built on the approach, and when you cross the bridge, the stone steps continue to the mountain gate. Unfortunately, it was raining, but the rain darkened the color of the yellow leaves of the tree 々 and the vermilion-painted railing, creating a beautiful scenery. The mountain gate was built in the Edo period and was roofed with wooden copper plates (tangible cultural property designated by the city). After passing through the mountain gate, the Buddhist hall is in front of you, and the Hojo is followed. Something special ...

It is a temple of the Rinzai sect that Basho also visited and appears in "Okunohosodo". It was also used in the commercial of Sayuri Yoshinaga's JR East a few years ago. The ancient temple heading for winter is completely different from that of the autumn leaves season, and I felt that it emphasized the tense severity unique to Zen temples.
