[View] Boondall Wetlands Reserve has more than 1,000 hectares of tidal beaches, mangroves, salt beaches and woodlands. [Fun] Aboriginal Australians have lived here for a long time, and there are Nuremian art totems in the wetlands, which is a memorial to this civilization. [Cost-effective] Wetlands also have a variety of wildlife and birds, which is a good place to get close to nature. Super cost-effective!
Quick walk through with the dogStopped here to break up a journey North and to walk the dog. Found a friendly and informative ranger who gave us some information about the wetlands and also directed us to the dog bowl for water. Nice flat walking trail about 2klm long with a bird watching platform about half way along. Very serene while watching the birds and small fish in the creek.
Walk around some wetlands in Boondal this morning. Lovely walk on well maintained trails. Lots of natural scenery. There are also many natural information signs along the way. I came to the centre too early (usually 9am but check first), but I would go back during opening hours
