Delton Castle (Dirleton Castle) is a medieval defensive castle in the village of Andelton in East Lothian, Scotland. It is about 31 km from Edinburgh. It was built in the 13th century (1240) and destroyed in the 17th century. The castle was badly damaged in the Scottish War of Independence, and the family funded the restoration of the castle in the 14th century. In 1505, the Ruswin family occupied the castle. Many Scottish allusions are related to the castle, including Lord Ruswin (Lord Ruthven) who has repeatedly participated in the overthrow of Queen Mary (Mary, Queen of Scots). The Oxford English listening novel contains a story about him killing her secretary in front of Queen Mary (David Rizzio). The castle is now a historic Scottish building. It was also visited with a family of friends in Singapore. Nearly 900 years of architecture still maintain some of the original appearance of ancient times.

An ancient castle built in the 13th century, once three noble families lived here for hundreds of years. It is now a ruin, and the outline of the castle is basically there. The surrounding gardens were slowly built at the beginning of the last century. Need to buy a ticket to visit.
