Roosevelt Island

When you come to Roosevelt Island, there are two modes of transportation, one is to take the cable car, the other is to take the F subway, you can take the red car or walk for free after leaving the island, and the two sides of the island are a park, one side is the lighthouse park, and the other side is the Roosevelt Memorial Park. It takes about an hour and a half to walk around the island. There will be many tourists on the island during the cherry blossom season. The Roosevelt Memorial Park is full of cherry blossoms. Standing under Queensboro Bridge, with full cherry blossoms, overlooking the Manhattan skyline, the scenery is very pleasant.

Roosevelt Island is a small island on the edge of Manhattan Island. We took the cable car from Manhattan to Roosevelt Island and the view from the cable car was very good. When we arrived at Roosevelt Island, we first walked to Roosevelt Park and saw the abandoned smallpox hospital, and then we walked to the lighthouse at the other end, and the cherry blossoms along the way were beautiful. Although close to Manhattan, Roosevelt Island was more peaceful and perfect for leisure.

The southern end of the island is a campus of Cornell University. The building is super beautiful, but unfortunately there is no student card to enter. Going south is a smallpox hospital built on December 18, 1856. It is said that many people have died in this hospital, and it is haunted. We took some photos outside and didn't dare to go in and look at it, because it was too late or a little scared, although it was three big boys hahaha. Standing at the southern end of the island, you can overlook the United Nations Building in Manhattan, which is still beautiful. Luodao is really quiet in the island, the environment is pleasant, I really like it here, except for the food is unpalatable.
