Observatory Hill

Observatory Hill is near the Sydney Rock District and is very close. It is a great viewing spot to enjoy the Harbour Bridge. Especially here to watch a sunset quietly, it is really a beautiful enjoyment. Personally recommend here

Observatory Hill is a nice little green area around the Sydney Observatory. After you visit the Observatory, it is a great choice to have a picnic here for lunch and you can also see the beautiful views of the Sydney Bridge. While you’re not far from the noisy area of Sydney, there’s definitely some (relatively) tranquility and peace to be found here.

Observatory Hill is located on a hillside that is not too high. It is not a place to overlook the city. It is indeed a commanding height for the rocky area to enjoy the harbour view. A few huge ancient trees and lawns on the park have become a place for locals to exercise and relax, and it is also a place to take wedding photos. The park has an observation deck, a fort and an observatory. This is the oldest observatory in Australia. It is open to the public during the day and will organize some stargazing activities at night. Fantastic attractions for the Sydney Bridge and Harbour. There are also huge trees, exquisite pavilions and comfortable grass, perfect for picnicking and enjoying the sun. The sunset in the evening is shining from the leaves, reflecting the Sydney Bridge and Harbour. I looked at Venus through the telescope and it was amazing. Then she showed me the sun because the telescope has a special sun lens. Really! Natalie had a lot of knowledge. She explained a lot to me about science and answered all my questions. Then I saw the planetarium. It was so worth it. I saw constellations, stars, planets, galaxies. Learned a lot. It was an interesting afternoon. It was amazing to walk outside and see the beautiful harbor around me. I am so grateful to have such a pleasant afternoon, especially Natalie!
