Located in the northwest of Langkawi, Giant Lion Island is a small ecologically sound and scenic island. Giant Lion Island is an island in a wildlife sanctuary, a paradise for wildlife. There are a variety of protected species of precious animals on the island, such as apes, rat deer, lizards, wild boar, porcupines, pangolins, cats, bats, peacocks and a variety of birds.

The island is quiet and far away, with an elegant and natural environment. The tropical forests, mangrove marshes, fine sand beaches and pebble beaches on the island are still preserved in their original appearance and are very natural. The sea around the island is also listed as a marine life reserve.

Giant Lion Island is a wildlife paradise. The boat will stop when it drives to the sea, and the boatman will scatter chicken skin and chicken oil on the sea, and the eagle will dive down to eat. To Langkawi, feeding the eagle is one of the entertainment items that cannot be missed.

Great snorkellingWe did a group tour and spent the day on the island. There a public toilets and water available to purchase on the island. A variety of fish to see while snorkelling. Be warned though they will bite your fingers as they are use to people feeding them.

Giant Lion Island Feeding Eagle is a must-play project in Langkawi and is usually included in the island hopping tour. We signed up at ABMOTEL on Zhennan Beach this time, MYR 25 per person, super cost-effective. Of course, there are various upgraded luxury island hopping tours, prices vary. Giant Lion Island is not allowed to land, the boat will stop in the bay, the boatman drops a bag of chicken skin, the eagle will dive down to eat.
