Toyokashima Shrine is located in Imokubo, Higashiyamato City. Toyokashima Shrine is said to have been built by Sogakura Yamada Ishikawa Satoshi in the 4th year of Keiun (707). It was listed as a gosha in 1897. The main shrine is designated as a tangible cultural property in Tokyo.
It was a shrine in Higashiyamato City near Lake Tama. It is a simple shrine on the hillside, and there is a parking lot, so it was convenient to stop by.
Toyokashima Shrine, which boasts a masterpiece of medieval shrine architecture, is an Ikoi shrine called "Kashima-sama" in the local Imokubo. The colored wood carving guardian dog in front of the main shrine is a must-see.
