The Taikoo Warehouse Pier was built in the 30th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1904). It was originally a warehouse and pier built by the British company Swire Group, hence the name "Taikoo Warehouse". It covers an area of approximately 54,900 square meters and has 10 warehouses, including 6 brick and wood structures, 2 mixed structures, and 2 reinforced concrete structures. The pier is made of concrete with high-strength beams and slabs. All three T-shaped piers have a water depth of 5.4 meters and can accommodate vessels up to 3,000 tons. It is a cultural heritage site protected by the Guangzhou Municipal Government.
