The Lushun Museum was founded in 1917 as a historical and artistic museum in Dalian, formerly known as the "Guandong Dudu Mansion Manmeng Property Museum". It has been changed its name many times since. In 1945, it was taken over by the Soviet Union and the museum was named "Lushun Oriental Culture Museum". In early 1951, the Soviet side handed over the museum to the Chinese government and restored the name of the "Lushun Museum". Lushun Museum is an excellent modern building in the country, with nearly 100,000 pieces in the collection, and a considerable number of first- and second-level collections, including bronzeware, Xinjiang cultural relics, calligraphy and painting, and ceramics. In particular, there are a rare collection of foreign cultural relics, of which the Indian Vendra stone artwork is the only collection in China.
