Nice diversity in exhibits. Beautiful building and interior design. They switch art collection very often so go often you will be surprised. Sometimes it might not be your taste but still fun to check out new trends and artist. There's a cute cafe on the basement as well serve pretty good coffee. Farmer's Market out front on the Tuesday mornings but they aren't allowed dogs to go into the farmer's market! That was a bit disappointed. Love the Tuesday night Jazz, ordered a wine or beer and cheese and sit on the lawn. I saw people bring their own picnic basket too. a wonderful way to enjoy Chicago summer! love this museum

The Science and Industry Museum likes it very much. They are all scientific and technological objects. Many planes are suspended on them. It feels very shocking. There are quite a lot of cars here. I like the feeling of visiting here. There are quite a lot of tourists.
Although the Chicago Science and Industry Museum is a certain distance from the city center, it displays a variety of science and technology, and there are many interactive scenes, which are worth a visit. The museum is mainly divided into German submarines, various bicycle displays, auto show areas, coal mines and related Apollo 11 moon landing introductions. In addition, the museum mentions that the melting of glaciers caused by climate change is very educational. giant doom theater Awesome, walk into the theater, the screen surrounds all the seats, and the audience is lying down watching a movie. I saw the scene about secret of universal, and the feeling of being surrounded by the screen was too shocking. There is a whispering gallery that is quite fun. The interactive area has hurricane simulation, impact force, tsunami simulation, hot air balloon rise, etc. There are also genes involved. It is definitely a good place for young and old to increase knowledge,
I have to say that the location of the Science Industry Museum is still a bit biased compared to other popular attractions. It takes more than half an hour to get there by bus from Loop. It takes longer if you encounter a traffic jam. However, the exhibits are still worth the time spent on the road. It is recommended to visit for about 2 hours. Very suitable for parent-child travel, there are many small projects that can be experienced, more interesting, children can learn a lot of scientific and industrial knowledge. I am impressed by static exhibits, maze mirrors, etc. The ticket bought included a film, and the one that chose the great white shark was OK. The screen was a large ball screen, which made people feel immersive. Museum of Science and Industry is still worth recommending.
Although the museum charges quite high. But it is really a good place for children, including adults, to learn about science. We visited the robotics exhibition sponsored by google. Through interactive participation, understand the formation of tornadoes, experience the strong nature of hurricanes, do-it-yourself waves, lightning. Because the English is too bad, it is not enough to support my interaction, many projects are confused and do not know what is going on. There are also special projects that need to be paid separately, such as exploring underground to experience coal mining, boarding a German World War II submarine, whaling ship. The museum includes industrial, earth natural phenomena, biological nature, flight aviation, human mystery and other content. The popularity is no less than the Washington Space Museum. There are American children who are playing with interest everywhere. The technology-powerful United States is really doing a great job in science, and our country needs to learn too much. I also lament that American parents are so enthusiastic about taking their children to museums.
The Chicago Museum of Science and Industry (Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago), a remodeled site of the Art Palace built at the Columbus Memorial Expo in Chicago in 1893. This museum introduces some common sense of natural science and the history of industrial technology development, involving many disciplines such as earth, biology, climate and transportation, agricultural machinery, and more than 2,000 booths, which is said to be the largest science museum in the Western Hemisphere. Almost every room has instruments or experiments for visitors to do. Here you can see the process of modeling various natural phenomena; you can visit the only German submarine captured in World War II, the submarine; you can feel the operation of the coal mine; You can also witness the process of chicken shell breaking in the chicken hatchery. Participation and interaction are the characteristics of this museum, and adults and children have harvests. Tickets are bought at major museums in Chicago, but there are often free opening hours (you can check it on the museum's official website). There are restaurants in the museum (American fast food), but more expensive than outside. This museum is not far from the University of Chicago and some distance from the city center. If you are not driving by yourself, you can choose the suburban train ME line to 55th - 56th - 57th St. Metra Station and walk for about 10 minutes.
